Already under pressure, our water supply is not infinite. This summer we've all suffered a lengthy hose pipe ban which shows no sign of abating.

Grant Shapps MP has regularly met with Three Valleys Water and understands that the long-term sustainability of our water supply is already under threat. Predictions about the reduction of water required by each family (a cut of 15% already) are heavily based on the assumption that metering will cut water usage.

Even without building 10,000 new houses we face a serious water crisis on the horizon and most worryingly of all the Government Inspectors who picked Welwyn Hatfield to be the location for 10,000 new houses have failed to even address the issue of water supply.

No Way To 10k is now concerned that a survey into the problem will be a tick-box exercise, prepared to back the Government conclusion without really considering the extreme consequences of the decision.
